Although schools are on holidays there is no much break here at St Mary’s Seminary as we open our doors to some young people doing their retreat. This week we welcomed a group of Yr 7-9 students who spent a couple of days here reflecting on discipleship. What struck me most was how serious they were about our Catholic Faith and how much joy they drew from it. I had no doubts that the Dear Lord is walking with them. Such amount of joy can come only from him. I loved listening to their prayers. They were childlike – honest, concrete and ….short – straight to the point. The kids knew what to pray for. It simply means they pray on regular basis. All I can say: May God bless their parents and mentors who put this joyful faith in their hearts. Looking at them you just want to believe in God.
